Bloomsday Celebration

June 16-17

The Island Free Library is pleased to present a two day adventure into the world of James Joyce.  June 16th, 1904 is the date of the action in James Joyce's "Ulysses" when Leopold Bloom goes about his day. This day has become a day to celebrate Joyce and we are happy to offer you two days of celebration!

Tuesday, June 16th: Bloomsday.  Programming TBA

Wednesday, June 17th:

Tom O'Carroll- this Bloomsday program celebrates the fascinating and enigmatic city of Dublin with humour, stories, songs and little-known anecdotes of it's celebrated writers.  Mr. O'Carroll will be traveling from the mainland to entertain us...not to be missed!
