Dear Island Library Users,

Beginning June 2, the Island Free Library staff will be out front to assist you with your library pickup or item selections. For library pickup, please see our Item Request Procedures & Instructions blog. While the Island Free Library building will remain closed, we are happy to offer library hours outside our building on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11am-2pm and Thursdays 5-7pm.

Our librarians will have masks on and will follow all appropriate safety precautions. We ask that you do the same while on library property.

As well as circulating library materials, we plan to assist you with your copying, faxing, scanning, printing, and basic computer needs.

Online programming will continue on our Youtube channel and via our Facebook page.

This plan aligns with the state guidelines of the phase 2 reopening in Rhode Island and the library state offices’ recommendations for libraries. We will continue to monitor the situation, as well as your library requests, as we move forward and adjust the plan accordingly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We hope to see you on the lawn!
