SUMMARY:Poetry Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Exploring your unique voice through the language of poetry. A poetry workshop with Jamie Rose at Island Free Library \nFrom experiencing the world through our senses to the symbolic imagery of the subconscious\, this workshop will focus on the makings of poetry and how we express ourselves through a unique cadence—our individual voice\, naturally expressed in the form of poetry. A handout will provide examples\, and participants will have the opportunity to read out-loud staying true to the pauses and emotional drive created through line breaks and punctuation. Having stirred the muse\, they will write a poem from their individual voice and have the opportunity to share.
