Have you ever thought of taking a long-distance hike through the British countryside? Keith Lang had, for years, and finally did it.

Keith chose to hike the Dales way in Northern England.

The hike begins just west of the Yorkshire industrial cities, in the town of Ilkley, proceeds through the Yorkshire Dales and ends up in a green field above Bowness and the blue waters of Lake Windermere in the Lake District.

Keith Lang has been a Block Island based photographer for years. His work includes co-authoring “On this Island: The Block Island Trail and Nature Guide” and creating the annual calendar “Visions of Block Island in Photographs and Words”.

He has been involved in public service and non-profit work with the Nature Conservancy and the Rhode Island office of the Nature Conservancy. Land conservation and photography have been a significant part of Keith’s career path and personal life.
